Spring has finally sprung that can only mean one thing, the start of baseball season. This year the pirates opened the 2010 campaign with LA Dodger making a visit to PNC Park. Like years in the past the optimism for success of this years team is rather low. With only two players in the starting line-up from last years opening day (Andy LaRoche and Ryan Doumit) the expectation for the 18th consecutive losing season is there. But on this day the Pirates, bucked the trend and started the 2010 season off strong by defeating Dodgers 11-5 with 2 home runs from Garrett Jones and 5 solid innings by bucs starters Zack Duke. the Pirates hope to continue the winning streak when the face the Dodgers again tomorrow at 7:05 at PNC Park.
